In the afternoon you will visit the renaissance city or go shopping in an open-air mall in Mantova.  

in the late evening you will arrive in Verona, final destination of your tour.

DAY 1 

Pasta making class and lunch in Bologna

You will then join a cooking class to learn how to make Tagliatelle or Ravioli from scratch. Freshly made pasta will no longer have secrets for you after this experience!

You will then have lunch with what your creations, combined with other traditional delicacies.  

Bologna, the foodie capital

in the afternoon you can start to get to know the city known for its vibrant food culture and medieval charm with its tortellini with prosciutto filling and porticos that surround the main square.

Overnight in Bologna 

As the afternoon draws to a close, you’ll make your way to Bologna where you will spend the night in a carefully selected 4*partner hotels.

DAY 2 

The city of Bologna

Explore the city, visiting Maggiore Square, the heart of the city surrounded by porticos declared UNESCO World Heritage Site, as well as San Petronio Basilica with its unfinished facade and the Due Torri that symbolize its medieval past. 

Activities: 

During your stay in Bologna you have one activity of your choice (at time of booking) included in your Hoop on tour, which we have carefully selected for you with our local partners: 

• A walking tour of Bologna, with a local tour guide that will tell you all the stories and anedoctes of the city of tortellini and porticos. They will take you to all iconic landmarks, as well as through the unknown corners, to explore the city like the locals do!
• A walking tour with included entrance to one of the towers, as well as giving you and in depth tour of the city, your local tour guide will also take you to see the city view and skyline from one of the famous towers of Bologna.
• Traditional Lunch: A traditional lunch in Bologna is a rich, flavorful journey through Italy’s culinary heart—think silky tagliatelle al ragù (the original Bolognese), hand-rolled tortellini in brodo, and generous slices of mortadella. Pair it with a glass of local red wine and finish with a creamy zuppa inglese for dessert, and you've tasted the soul of Emilia-Romagna on a single table.

The city of Mantova

In the afternoon, you will join a visit of Ducale Palace in Mantova, or alterantively a shopping experience (make sure you select your preferred option at time of booking):

• City Center

In the afternoon, you will have the opportuinity to visit the city of Mantova. 

The entrace to Ducale Palace is included in your pass, with the world famous Camera degli Sposi fresco (bride and groom room) by Mantegna. We also provide you with an audio guide, to learn all about this art masterpieces and the history of the palace.

You will then have some time to stroll around and discover the other landmarks of the city, such as San Giorgio Castle, Delle Erbe Square and the spectacular Lake di Mezzo.

• Shopping Outlet

If you find fashion & shopping more enticing, you can instead spend time at the Mantova Village Outlet, with high-end boutiques that offer bargains at discounted prices. This is an opportunity to take with you a souvenir from Italy, or purchase some gifts from your loved ones.

Final destination, Verona

You will arrive at Verona, the city of love as your final destination.
